Use of email addresses

Your email address is safe with me. I won’t give it to anyone: no spam, no advertising, no hassle.

How I use your email address will depend on how I received it. For example:

  • If you send me a message via my contact page, then I will reply to your message.
  • If you subscribe to the coaching videos, then I will keep your email address on a database and use it to help you manage your account (for example, by sending you a new password if you forget your old one).

In neither case will I subscribe you to a newsletter or send you other promotional email.

Subscriber data

Login details

Your email address will be stored in my database. I will use it only to help you manage your account.

Your password will also be stored in my database, but in an encrypted form that I cannot read. Nevertheless, when choosing your Badminton Bible password, it’s good practice to use something different from your email password.

Credit card and address details

The payment is handled by Paypal. It takes place on their website, not mine; I never see your card details.

Paypal does return some information to me, including:

  • Your name
  • Your billing address

I store this information on a database, but I never release it to anyone else. I’ll never use this information to send you promotional offers (junk mail).

Tracking site traffic

This website uses Google Analytics to collect anonymous traffic data through the use of cookies. No personally identifiable information is collected.

These data include information about the popularity of each page, how people found the page, what browsers they use, and the distribution of traffic over geographic areas.

These data do not include your name, your address, your phone number, or any other personally identifiable information.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your computer. Cookies are created by your browser whenever you open a web page that uses them.

Can I stop this?

If you do not wish these data to be collected, you may configure your browser to refuse cookies from this site, or to refuse all cookies. I do not recommend this, because disabling cookies will adversely affect your experience of many websites (including this site, which uses them for remembering your preferences).

Cookies can be used to violate your privacy. If you are concerned about this, I recommend that you use anti-spyware software such as AdAware and Spybot: search and destroy. This software detects bad cookies and removes them, but it leaves the harmless cookies in place.
